1 EXT. PERRY'S GARAGE - DAY 1
A two-car attached garage in an upscale neighborhood. The
garage door rises revealing two cars inside: Perry's four
door sedan (parked head in), and a vintage 1934 Ford Coupe
in mint condition (parked head out).
JIMMY (O.S.)
Whoa, check it out...
2 ANOTHER ANGLE REVEALS 2
PERRY and JIMMY in the driveway, Perry holding a garage door
opener, Jimmy a tool box. As they enter the garage...
3 INT. PERRY'S GARAGE - DAY - CONTINUOUS 3
PERRY
Beauty, ain't she? I got her on
loan for the Planet's anniversary
celebration.
JIMMY
(eyeing coupe)
Is this what you used to drive when
you were my age?
PERRY
Son, I may have gray hair, but
that's because of my job. I wasn't
even born when this car was built.
JIMMY
(re: sedan)
So what's wrong with this one?
PERRY
When I came in last night, I
couldn't get it to shift into Park.
JIMMY
Well, let's see what I can do.
As he lays the tool box down...

Excuse me.
4 ANOTHER ANGLE REVEALS 4
CLYDE BARROW, standing behind them in the driveway. Mid
20's, handsome in a cruel sort of way, Clyde's dressed in a
classic gangster outfit. Smiling, he indicates the coupe.
CLYDE
Y'all got the keys to my car?
Perry and Jimmy give him the once over, then...
PERRY
You want to run that by me again?
CLYDE
It ain't that confusin', Pops. You
got my car and I want it back.
(the smile disappears)
Now hand 'em over.
PERRY
I don't know what your game is
friend, but that car's on loan from
a collector to my newspaper.
CLYDE
Newspaper man, huh? You boys
always were gutsy.
(and then)
Bonnie!
A woman, BONNIE PARKER, mid 20's, a real beauty in a classic
"moll" dress, steps from behind a row of bushes brandishing
an old-fashioned TOMMY GUN. As she trains it on them...
CLYDE (CONT'D)
Too bad I never much cared for
gutsy.
WIPE TO:
5 INT. PERRY'S GARAGE - DAY - MOMENTS LATER 5
The Ford coupe idles outside. Clyde enters, where Jimmy and
Perry are now sitting in the front bucket seats of Perry's
sedan, Jimmy at the wheel. Their hands are tied behind the
seats. Bonnie leans on the hood picking through the
contents of their wallets. The REMOTE GARAGE DOOR OPENER
now rests on the hood as well.

CLYDE
Car ain't got much gas.
(re: wallets)
They got any money?
BONNIE
No. Just some pictures and a bunch
of these hard things.
She hands him a couple of CREDIT CARDS.
CLYDE
'The Gold Card.'
(bites it)
The hell it is.
(tosses them aside)
I guess we'll get our gas the old
fashioned way. Steal it.
PERRY
You two are piling up quite a
resume. Carjacking, armed
robbery... when the Feds catch up
with you, you'll both be going away
for a long time!
BONNIE
We've already been away for a long
time.
CLYDE
(disdainful)
The Feds. You think I'm afraid of
Hoover?
JIMMY
(aside, to Perry)
Why would a vacuum cleaner company
want them?
PERRY
(looks at Jimmy, then)
J. Edgar Hoover. Was head of the
FBI for forty-eight years.
JIMMY
Never heard of him.

Clyde ignores her as he slams the door shut and leans down
to talk to Jimmy and Perry through the open driver's window.
CLYDE
Make it easy on yourselves boys.
Just breathe deep and relax.
Clyde and Bonnie walk out toward the Ford thru...
CLYDE (CONT'D)

How's this thing work?
BONNIE
He just pushed the button.
Clyde pushes the opener. As the garage door closes...
CLYDE
Well, how do you like that? I
think I'm gonna like the nineties. (X)
7 INT. PERRY'S CAR - DAY - CONTINUOUS 7
The garage door's closed. Perry and Jimmy struggle to get
free as we HEAR the vintage Ford PULL AWAY. (X)

FADE IN:
8 INT. PERRY'S SEDAN - DAY - MOMENTS LATER 8
The carbon monoxide is working. Perry's struggle to loosen
his hands has waned. Jimmy leans back, defeated. A beat,
then he spots a SECOND GARAGE DOOR OPENER on the visor above
him.
JIMMY
Chief, if I can somehow press this
with my head...
As Jimmy maneuvers in his seat, his knee accidentally knocks
the gear shift selector from Neutral to REVERSE. Jimmy
stomps down for the brake but hits the gas instead.
9 EXT. PERRY'S GARAGE - DAY - CONTINUOUS 9
The sedan BURSTS through the closed garage door, SPLINTERING
it into a wild jigsaw.

Hit the brakes!
Perry's car suddenly screeches to a halt in the drive.

What's up, Chief?
JIMMY

12 INT. PERRY'S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS 12
Perry moves to his desk as Lois, Clark and Jimmy follow.

CLARK

PERRY
The boy's leaving out a few

PERRY

CLARK

PERRY
Sure. I gave the police a detailed
description. And then they looked
at me like I had three heads.
CLARK
Why?
PERRY
'Cause I told them I'd been
carjacked by Bonnie and Clyde.
LOIS
Chief, Bonnie and Clyde died over
sixty years ago.
PERRY
I know that, Lois. My car was
taken, not my senses. But these
two were dead ringers for 'em.
They did quite a job. Make-up,
costumes, the whole shebang.
LOIS
(on to something)
Do you remember anything specific
about the costumes?
PERRY
Lois, I'm not real big on fashion
accessories. Especially when
there's a gun pointed at me. (X)
LOIS
It's just, well... there was this
call on the police scanner last
week... a man in a brown felt

was a piece of this paper's
history. It belonged to one of our
great publishers. And more
important... it's not insured.

14 INT. SAMMY'S LOOK-ALIKE AGENCY - DAY 14
A small, tacky suite crammed with 8X10s of famous people on
the walls and several racks of costumes. No frills, no
secretary, just SAMMY. Mid 40's. A spunky, bantam rooster
of an agent with a New York attitude. He's on the phone as
Lois and Clark enter.
SAMMY
That's right... he's a dead ringer
for Elvis.
(beat)
Of course before he died.
(to Lois and Clark)
Have a seat folks. I'll be right
with ya.
Lois looks at the shabby Naugahyde chairs, then gingerly
sits.
LOIS
This is the last one of these
places you're going to drag me to.
Somehow I don't think car-jackers
register with agents.
CLARK
Lois, who would know better than a
look-a-like agency about famous
impersonators?

SAMMY
(thinking)
Bonnie and Clyde... Nope. Sorry.
(then)
But, it's funny that you mention
them. I had a guy in here a couple
of weeks ago looking for gangster
costumes.
CLARK
Do you remember his name, or what
he looked like?
SAMMY
Sure. I keep a record of all my
business transactions.
(cocky)
How do you think I got to where I
am today?
LOIS
(under her breath)
One can only wonder.
Sammy opens a drawer overflowing with papers. He rummages
through them; miraculously finds what he wants.
SAMMY
Uh... here he is. Emil Hamilton.
Rented a whole rack of gangster
costumes. I don't usually let my
costumes go out the door without
one of my people inside 'em, but
business has been slow lately.
The door opens and a SUPERMAN LOOK-A-LIKE enters, a
portfolio tucked under his arm. (Dean playing two roles).
Lois and Clark are surprised. Especially Clark.

LOIS

Hamilton. He's a real science
nerd, spends twenty-four hours a

goes to fund his experiments.
CLARK
I'm not surprised. DNA
modification is very expensive.

CATERER

BONNIE

There's gonna be a little get

And anybody who's worth owning will

Everyone chuckles. Lois fights to hide her anger, then...
LOIS
Actually, I was looking for you.
I'm a reporter with the Daily

Capone slowly approaches Lois. He takes a long draw on his
cigar and exhales. The trail of cigar smoke wafts across
her face.
CAPONE

About what? My overcoat?
BONNIE
She's lying, Al. We shot her
boyfriend. Only thing she wants
from you is a confession.
CAPONE
Bonnie doubts your motives. And
to be honest, so do I.
LOIS
Look, I don't care about the guy

What's a sushi?
LOIS
It's fish. Raw fish. You eat it.
It's quite popular.
BONNIE
(unenthused)
Sounds yummy.
A BARRAGE of SNEEZES startles them. Bonnie jerks away from
the desk as Clyde rushes over and pulls Hamilton out from
under the desk.
CLYDE
Well, well, well, how'd you get out
of the lab professor?
Capone looks from then to Lois.
CAPONE
Y'know, the morals in this country
have absolutely gone to pot.
