Un ninja porte des bracelés nommés "Coeur de dragon", ce sont des armes et il vole les placements de Perry pendant qu'il discute avec Harlan Black. En constatant cela, Perry ne veut pas le dire à sa femme pour ne pas causer une dispute alors il nomme Loïs et Clark chargé d'enquêter sur ce mystérieux vol.
Ils vont au club où le vol s'est produit mais Loïs ne peut pas entrer parce qu'elle est une femme. Pendant que Loïs discute avec le secu, Superman trouve un signe de dragon sur un coffre-fort.
Loïs fait des recherches auprès d'un certain Chen Chow et découvre que ce signe signifie la puissance. Elle demande pour faire des cours mais il refuse prétendant qu'elle est une femme. Loïs, fâchée, se rend chez Clark où elle rencontre les parents de ce dernier.
Les vols continuent et Jimmy, en faisant des recherches, découvre que la Sun Kwon Industries est la seule touchée par ses événements. En apprenant cela, Loïs et Clark soupçonnent Harlan Blanck, le directeur du club des hommes comme quoi il serait aussi le directeur de l'industrie.
Le ninja et Superman se battent et c'est le ninja qui gagne grâce à ses techniques martiales. Harlan Black qui a tout vu, veut prendre les bracelets pour supprimer Superman et le ninja comme ça il pourrait rapatrier des familles asiatiques pour les faire travailler à bas prix.
Pour finir, Loïs se déguise en homme pour entrer dans le club et trouve tous les dossiers dont ils ont besoin. Pour finir, Harlan et Superman doivent combattre mais Superman a entre-temps appris quelques techniques.

darkness. Soundlessly, he follows him around a corner. (X)

HARLAN

Valley venture, all our basic
managerials are farmed out to low
cost specialization services, so
the pension alone will save us

The Guard is poised at the door, about to knock, when the (X)
Hooded Figure appears and chops him lightly on the neck. (X)
He drops, instantly unconscious. The figure pauses at the (X)
door, listening to the voices:
HARLAN (O.S.)
To get us into mass production
fast, we need equipment.

Harlan walks up to a free standing safe and opens it.
HARLAN
We've found an overseas company
that's gone belly up, willing to
sell their hardware but...
(inside the safe --
STACKS of bearer bonds)
...they'll only deal in cash or
bonds.
PERRY
(worry)
You're telling me my money's
sittin' right there in bearer
bonds, good As cash?
HARLAN
Perry, relax. This is not my first
time at the rodeo. I've got an (X)

Once in transit, it's all fully

There they are now.
Harlan opens the door. The Hooded Figure lashes out with a
light BLOW that knocks him across the room. (X)
PERRY
What the...
The Figure moves to the safe. Perry SLAMS the safe shut --
-- then steps up to challenge the Figure. The Figure grabs
Perry's wrist between two fingers and begins, almost gently,
to force him to the chair.
PERRY (CONT'D)
Ow... hey,, hey, now...
The Figure, in one swift move, ties Parry's hands behind the
chair with a lamp cord, disabling him.
PERRY (CONT'D)
Harlan! Harlan, you all right?
Harlan lets out a groggy MOAN and sits up. The Figure moves to
the safe.
PERRY (CONT'D)
Hey! Hey now, stay away from that
safe, you're in enough trouble...
The Figure runs his hands almost lovingly over the safe.
For the first time we notice TWO METAL BRACELETS, one on
each arm, ornately carved and painted with DRAGONS encircled
in the YIN-YANG SYMBOLS.
The Figure's wrists are on either side of the safe. He
suddenly SLAMS his metallic wrists into the sides of the safe and
the door BLOWS open.
PERRY (CONT'D)
Oh, my Lord...
The Figure swiftly empties out all the bonds into a satchel.
PERRY (CONT'D)
Harlan...
Harlan sees the Figure move to the window and leap out with
cat-like grace and silence. He makes it to the desk and hits
the button. A WHOOPING ALARM SOUNDS.

A uniformed DOORMAN stands at the entrance. Several
dignified, well dressed, middle-aged men are seen entering
and exiting the building. Lois and CLARK walk up to the
DOORMAN.
CLARK
Lois Lane and Clark Kent, Daily
Planet. I believe Perry White
called ahead that we would be
coming.
DOORMAN
(looks at a list)
Yes, here you are, Mr. Kent. Go on
up.
Clark walks past the Doorman, followed by Lois. The Doorman
puts out an arm to stop her.
DOORMAN (CONT'D)
Ma'am? You'll have to wait here.
LOIS
What.
DOORMAN
This is a men's club.
LOIS
(moving past)
And I'm a reporter on a story, now
excuse me.

As Lois and the Doorman square off for an argument, Clark
takes a few steps away, loosening his tie.

An imposing looking ASIAN MAN, THE TONG GANG LEADER, stands
silently in front of Harlan Black. (X)
HARLAN
Some guy in a Halloween outfit
sneaks into _my_ club, busts open
_my_ safe, and 'trick-or-treat'
steals _my_ money.
TONG GANG LEADER
Our people are out in force, we
should have a lead by --
Suddenly, the drapes blow, Tong Leader and Harlan look and
there's SUPERMAN.
HARLAN
Superman!
SUPERMAN
I heard about the robbery. I
thought I might take a look around.
HARLAN
The police have already been over
the place but, of course, your help
would be more than welcome.

Superman SUPERSPEEDS through the office, looking under,
over, and around everything in seconds.
HARLAN (CONT'D)
(to the blur)
Have you ever thought of joining a
men's club, Superman? It might be
nice for you to have a place where
you could relax, take off your
cape, just be one of the guys...
Suddenly, the Blue Blur STOPS.
SUPERMAN
Thanks, but I don't really have the
time.
HARLAN
We've got a full gym. (X)
Superman points at the side of the safe. (X)
SUPERMAN
What is this?
HARLAN
What?
Superman takes a piece of white paper and places it on the
side of the safe. He uses his HEAT VISION to create a kind
of stone rubbing. It burns an image into the paper of the
intricate DRAGON carvings we saw on the Hooded Figure's
Bracelets. The Tong Gang Leader sees it. His face drops.
SUPERMAN
Do you mind if I take this? See
what I can find out?.
HARLAN
Be my guest. And if you change
your mind about the club...
Superman smiles politely and O.S WHOOSHES out the window.
Harlan looks over at the Tong Gang Leader. The look on his
face tells Harlan that all is not well.
CUT TO:
13 EXT. METROPOLIS MEN'S CLUB - DAY 13
The Doorman is rolling his eyes as Lois rails at him.

congresswoman, I could --
Clark walks up, hot dog in one hand, slip of paper in the
other.
CLARK
Lois, look at this.
LOIS
(to Doorman)
I'm not finished with you.
Lois steps aside. Clark shows her a copy of the HEAT VISION
rubbing off the side of the safe.
CLARK
Got this from a guard I bribed. He
said they found this design etched
in the side of the safe.
LOIS
What is it?
CLARK
See the dragon symbol, and the Yin
Yang? They're power totems. Some
of the more obscure Chinese Martial
Arts use them. The design is cut
into an artifact -- a necklace, a
ring -- which bestows power on the
wearer.
LOIS
If they're so obscure, how come you
know about them?
CLARK
I travelled some in China... I only
know a few, and I don't recognize
this particular design, at all.
Hey, but you know who would? Chen
Chow.

LOIS
So you go ahead, meet me there when
you can.
CLARK
You sure?
LOIS
Where's this Chen guy live anyway?

HARLAN

It's no joke. You saw what he did
to that safe. He's a Tenth Level
Chi Master... and with the Dragon's
Heart Bracelets, he's unstoppable.
HARLAN
Excuse me. Did I just fall through
a rabbit hole? I want this yahoo
found, I want him hurt and then I
want to dance at his funeral. Are
you reading me on this?
TONG GANG LEADER
Yes. But I don't think you're
reading me.

Well, you know what? In the
Bizarro World, where _you're_ the

15 INT. CHOW LOFT - DAY 15
A Martial Arts Studio, the Chinatown Daily "newspaper
office", and family living quarters, all occupy the same
large, loft-like space. There is an area of floor space in
the center, covered with tatami mats.
A frail old Chinese man, Chen's GRANDFATHER, is leading two
MEN through some elaborate Martial Arts moves. He remains (X)
still as they move in unison. (X)
Lois enters. LIN CHOW, Chen's sister, steps up to her. Lin
is a delicately beautiful young woman with a perfect command
of English but whose manner bespeaks shyness and deference (X)
to authority.
LOIS
Hi, I'm Lois Lane.
(Lin says nothing, just
bows; pause)
Clark Kent called, I have an
appointment with Chen Chow?
(again, nothing)
You are ... ?
Lin nods without saying a word and moves off. Lois turns to
watch the frail old Grandfather teach. She's taken in by
the grace and power of the moves. The two Students stop and
bow to the old man.
Lin comes back with CHEN CHOW, a "Mild Mannered Reporter for
a Great Metropolitan Newspaper." Chen is the Chinese clone
of Clark Kent. Same glasses, same haircut, almost the same
clothes.
CHEN
You must be Lois, I'm Chen. (X)
LOIS
Hi. (X)
CHEN
Nice to finally meet you. I've (X)
heard alot about you. (X)

cane and hobbles past Lois, then stops. He moves off to a (X)
mat, sitting in silence. Lin moves past Lois with a tea (X)
set, gives her a glance, serves tea to her grandfather.
CHEN (CONT'D)
So. I hear the Hooded Figure (X)
strikes again.
LOIS
Clark said you've heard of this
guy
CHEN
He's hit four Chinatown businesses
in the last week.
(tapping keys)
But this is his first robbery
outside Chinatown. Same M.O.?
Alone, big cash, no clue?
LOIS
One clue. We were hoping maybe you
could tell us what it means...
Lois shows Chen the rubbing paper with the dragon symbols.
Chen studies it. Lois glances around the loft and sees Lin
Chow formally serving tea to the Grandfather.
CHEN
I don't know.
(moving to show him)
Hey, Grandpa, you recognize -- ?
GRANDFATHER
(looks at Lois) (X)

Only the one who took them knows.
The old Grandfather makes a wave with his hand, dismissing
Lin Chow, who scurries off. (X)
LOIS
Chen, if I could get.a list of all
the businesses here in Chinatown
that got robbed, the dates and -- ?
CHEN
I'll fax it to your office.
LOIS
So, how do you know Clark? (X)
CHEN
We go to the same optometrist.
LOIS
(nods)

(to Grandfather, as she

We're investigating this story at
the Metropolis Men's Club. When
Clark and I get there, they won't

MARTHA

LOIS

Martha and Lois turn steely stares on Jonathan. Clark tries
to warn his father.

Well, I'm off to the supermarket.

four of the Chinatown factories hit
by the Hooded Robber are
subsidiaries of the same Chinatown
company. Son Kwan Industries.

waiting limo. Gets in.

Suddenly the Hooded Figure leaps off the roof, hits the
ground in front of the two payroll Guards, quickly fells
them and grabs the money sacks in one hand.

Harlan and the Tong Leader see this through the open back
window. The Tong Leader pulls his .45.
23 EXT. SON KWAN - DAY 23
The Figure spins and throws a metal disc. It STRIKES the
Tong and throws him back, stunning him and knocking the gun
out of his hand.
Harlan grabs the gun, brings it up to shoot but -- (X)
The Figure is gone.
HARLAN
(to Driver)
Go! Around the corner!
24 EXT. SON KWAN - BACK AT MAIN ENTRANCE - CONTINUOUS 24
Lois and Clark are just getting into her jeep. The Hooded
Figure comes running past with the money. Clark sees him.
Then Lois. She turns to Clark.
LOIS
Look, it's --
But Clark's gone.
Then she hears SQUEALING TIRES and sees Harlan's limo come
around the corner, just as --
Superman LANDS right in front of the Hooded Figure.
SUPERMAN
Drop the money and come with me.

The Figure drops the sacks. Superman reaches to take him by
the arm but the Figure knocks his hand away. Superman makes
another grab. Same thing. Superman can't understand.
The Dragon Heart Bracelets GLEAN on the Figure's wrists.
Superman rushes the Figure. The Figure LEAPS into the air
with startling speed and Superman grabs air. The Figure
flips in mid-air and drops behind him. Superman spins
and --
Startled and a little angered, goes for the Figure with both
hands at SUPER-SPEED and The Figure grabs Superman's wrist,
pivots and
Sends Superman FLYING across the parking lot -- a good
thirty feet and
Superman CRASHES into a big crate. Lois moves to him. (X)
LOIS
Superman, are you ... ?
SUPERMAN
I'm fine. A little mad, but I'll
get over it as soon as this guy's
in --
The Figure throws up a handful of DUST in front of himself.
The image of the Figure begins to DISSOLVE. It tumbles to
the ground in a heap of glittering specks. The Figure --
and the sacks of cash -- are gone.
SUPERMAN (CONT'D)
-- jail.
Lois and Superman just stare, dumbfounded. Where did the
Figure go?

Harlan's face is slack with shock. The Tong Leader is smug.

scavenging in the dumpsters, behind crates,, looking for
return deposit cans, plastic and glass bottles. Each
carries a bag already filled with bottles.
Suddenly, the Hooded Figure appears. Startled, they step
back in fear. The Figure hands each a wad of cash. Then,
as swiftly as he came, he is gone.
They look at one another. In unison, they drop their bags
and run off. No more scavenging for them.

52 INT. METROPOLIS MEN'S CLUB - ADJOINING HALLWAY - NIGHT 52
TIGHT ON the door marked "Harlan Black." From the back, we (X)
see A SLIM MAN with short brown hair and a neatly trimmed
beard and glasses comes down the hall and stops near the
door. In his mouth, an unlit cigar. He pats his pockets,
looking for a match. Then Perry appears. The Man's back is
to Perry (and us) and Perry is looking over his shoulder.
They bump.
PERRY
Sorry.
Harlan comes out of the office and locks it. The Man moves (X)
on. (X)
HARLAN
Perry.
PERRY
Harlan, there you are, I was
looking for you.
HARLAN
I talked to the insurance company
again, this whole thing is just a
nightmare. I feel so... I mean, I
know it's not my fault we got
robbed but...
PERRY
(eyes on the door)
Don't be so hard on yourself.
HARLAN
Tell you what. I'll buy you
dinner.

And they're around the corner and gone. Beat. Then the
Slim Man (still shot from behind) pops out from around the
opposite corner. Moves to Harlan's door, stops, reaches up
into his hair, pulls out a bobby pin and inserts it in the
lock and

Clark and Perry exit the club.
CLARK
It was just bad luck, Chief,
running into Harlan like that.
PERRY
I keep thinking I should have found
a way around it.
CLARK
(glancing back at club)
You know what? Why don't you go on
back to the Planet and I'll -- ?
On the sidewalk, the Slim Man with the unlit cigar in his
mouth steps up to them. We glimpse his bearded, pale face
in the lamplight.
SLIM MAN
(gravelly voice)
Hey bud, got a light?
PERRY
Sure. (X)
Perry flicks a lighter. The Slim Man moves into the light. (X)
It's Lois, dressed as a man. (X)

LOIS

PERRY

LOIS
Had a few belts, charged 'em to

PERRY

LOIS
(shrugs)

PERRY
(looks at her, then
laughs and hugs her)

LOIS

CLARK
Not the Grandfather or Chen... but
a Master... or someone who's been
_around_ one their whole life.
(looking at Lois)

The Hooded Figure spills the contents of a bag on the ground
-- more cash.
Then removes the hood. _It is Lin Chow_.
Suddenly, she hears a rustling. She turns and her
Grandfather is standing there.
LIN CHOW
Grandpa!
GRANDFATHER
So. It _is_ you. What you have
done is shameful. You have stolen
the Dragon's Heart.
Lin Chow bows her head.
LIN CHOW
I'm sorry, Grandpa. I thought...

Slowly she removes them and places them reverently into her (X)
Grandfather's hands.
The Grandfather swiftly slips them onto his own arms. Lin
Chow gasps. The Grandfather begins to laugh. As he laughs,
his image begins to SPARKLE. And sparkling dust falls away,
MELTING the image of the Grandfather and revealing beneath
it --
Jzuk Mao, wearing the Dragon's Heart, laughing evilly.

gun on the Grandfather.

Grandpa...
Lin leaps at the Tong Leader. Jzuk grabs her arm. (X)
GRANDFATHER
Jzuk Mao! That I ever called you
student is my greatest shame!
Jzuk Mao just looks at the old man and laughs. Harlan comes
in the front door.
HARLAN
Okay, everybody calm down, Daddy's
home.
LIN CHOW
Let him go.
HARLAN
(shrugs casually)
Sure.
(laughs)
Aahhh, just kidding. Of course I'm
not gonna let him go.
Jzuk twists her wrist.
HARLAN (CONT'D)
And there's nothing you can do
about it as long as old Jzuk here's
got those Bracelets on.
(studies them)
And aren't they smart. Accessories
for any and all occasions.
LIN CHOW
(wincing)
All right, you've got them... now
get out.
HARLAN
Well, there are a few other things
I'd like to know. Like, oh, I
don't know... where's all the
_money_ you stole from me!

They move through a doorway.

Usually, he just shows up when I

LIN CHOW

Lin begins the instruction as we go TIGHT ON Jimmy and Lois,
watching:

How's Superman supposed to fight
without being strong?
LOIS
Ten to eleven. If only he had more
time to learn..

Grandfather wasn't a hostage.

They move off together as WE GO BACK TO Superman learning a
stance from Lin.
LIN CHOW
Remember. The more you fight, the (X)
more you give him. And the reverse
is also true.

Empty except for the Grandfather, who sits by the window,
his hand and legs bound. Lois and Jimmy slip in through the
window behind the Grandfather.
LOIS
(whispering)
Don't make a sound.
Then, a WHOOSH and
JIMMY
Too late.
Harlan and everyone turn to see Superman standing on the big
mat, arms crossed.
HARLAN
Eleven o'clock. Good. I like my
Super Heroes punctual.
(calls out)
Jzuk!
During this, Jimmy and Lois stay crouched, hidden behind the
Grandfather as they try to untie his wrists.
Jzuk steps forward. He wears the Dragon's Heart.

A contest. Super Strength against
Super Chi. Personally, I'd put my
money on Jzuk.
(calling)
Wouldn't you, Ms. Lane?
Lois and Jimmy stand, busted. The Tong Leader aims his gun
at them.
HARLAN (CONT'D)
You _are_ Lois Lane, aren't you? (X)
A great reporter but a lousy
commando.
LOIS
(shrugs)
Nobody's perfect. You're a great (X)
dresser but a lousy human being.
HARLAN
Really? You like the suit? (X)
SUPERMAN
(to Jzuk, politely)
I've come to take the Dragon's
Heart back to its rightful owner.
May I have it please?
Jzuk begins to laugh.
SUPERMAN (CONT'D)
Don't say I didn't ask nicely.
Jzuk attacks. Superman drops his hands to his side, ducks
and weaves, then absorbs the worst kicks and hits on his
arms and knees -- but never hits back.
Jzuk gets angry and lunges. Superman flips into the air
over his head, then ducks a series of punches.
Jzuk pummels Superman in the head and he drops, stunned,
moaning.
Lin rushes in.
HARLAN
All right, just in time, baby...
you want to get in here, do
a little tag team?
Jzuk, breathing hard, moves to Superman, who barely gets to
his feet.

HARLAN (CONT'D)
Kill him.
Jzuk moves in for the kill. Superman and Lin exchange a
look. She nods. Jzuk strikes. Superman sidesteps, takes Jzuk
by the wrist, pivots and --
-- WHOMP! Throws the huge man to the ground. He's stunned.
HARLAN (CONT'D)
Get up!
Superman twists Jzuk's arm behind his back. Jzuk pulls a
counter-move, comes up off the mat and --
Superman executes a perfect jump kick. The heel of his foot
HAMMERS Jzuk in the chest. He flies across the room and
SMASHES into a cabinet. Pottery RAINS down on his head.
Jzuk tries to get up and --
The Grandfather fixes Jzuk with a stern stare. Jzuk cannot
look at the old man Jzuk makes a bow. He takes off the
Dragon's Heart Bracelets and lays them at Superman's feet as
a gesture of defeat.
HARLAN (CONT I D)
Oh, _please_... (X)
Harlan lunges for the bracelets. He slips them on his own
arms.
HARLAN (CONT'D)
... gimme a break with this bowing
crap! C'mon, Superman, you wanna
get crazy? Huh?
Harlan circles, ready-to fight. Then something strange (X)
begins to happen to his image. Like a STORM OF LIGHT eating
him away from the inside. He screams.
HARLAN (CONT'D)
What the --? Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!
GRANDFATHER
The power. He cannot control it.
It controls him.
Superman reaches inside the maelstrom and pulls the
bracelets off Harlan's arms, saving his life. Harlan
collapses to the floor. Catatonic. Police SIRENS are
heard.
SUPERMAN
That'll be Clark with the police.

TONG GANG LEADER
Everybody body back up. (X)
Lois deals him several swift blows and drops him. She (X)
looks at the Grandfather, who nods to her.
GRANDFATHER
Not bad.
Superman reverently takes the two bracelets to the Old
Grandfather. He shakes his head no.
GRANDFATHER.(CONT,'D)
Thank you, but they're not mine.
(he takes them to Lin
Chow)
They belong to Lin. My
Granddaughter... Tenth Level Yi Chi
Master.
The old Grandfather bows reverently to Lin. She returns the
bow and clips the Bracelets on.
SUPERMAN
(wipes his brow)
Glad we're on the same side now.
CUT TO:
67 INT. CLARK'S APARTMENT - NIGHT #4 67
A dining area has been set in the living room, separated
from the kitchen by a folding Chinese screen. Lois, Clark,
and Martha sit around the dinner table. Loud CLANGING and
oil SIZZLING noises come from the kitchen where Jonathan is
preparing dinner. Lois peers around the screen and sees the
kitchen is stacked high with dishes and pots and pans.
CLARK
... and since Lin was able to give
back all the money, the police
aren't pressing any charges.
LOIS
Except against Harlan. Lots of
charges there.
CLARK
Jimmy's going to start investing
Perry's money tomorrow morning.

JONATHAN
Beginner's luck.
LOIS
Beginner's nothing. Mr. Kent, I
haven't had Chinese food this good
since... I've never had Chinese
food this good.
MARTHA
What's the matter, Jonathan? You
seem... perturbed.
JONATHAN
No, it's just... well, do I really
just sit around and play checkers
all day?
MARTHA
No, you also watch football, read
and take amazingly long naps...
(off Jonathan's
self-disgust)
...when we visit Clark. Back home,
you're up at four a.m. running a
farm, remember?
JONATHAN
Well, so are you.
MARTHA
Honey, the point of this wasn't
that I work harder than you... the
point was, we _both_ work hard.

MARTHA
They don't.
JONATHAN
What?
MARTHA
You can keep doing dinners. You're
good.
JONATHAN
Martha, I have a confession...
MARTHA
Personally, though, I'd order from
Szechuan Palace. House of Hunan's
great but all this garlic gives me
gas.
